Underdog Devs is a community based organization committed to improving opportunities for underserved individuals. The organization was founded in an effort to create more job and personal development opportunities in the technology sector. All staff at Underdog Devs are formerly incarcerated individuals or come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program focuses on pairing mentors and mentees. Mentors understand the barriers that justice involved individuals face when trying to reintegrate into the community after an extended time behind bars. They offer compassion and work to bring individuals up to speed about the industry's latest technological advancements. The goal is to create a new generation of skilled individuals who can enter the technology sector, obtain stable employment and avoid recidivism.
