Volunteer Lawyers Project is a Boston-based legal-aid service provider that gives equal access to representation for the people of Greater Boston, standing up for those who are from lower-income households and in need of legal aid. The project's mission is to increase access to justice by delivering high-quality pro bono civil legal services to eligible clients in the Greater Boston area. They provide a range of crucial civil legal assistance; from information and advice to referrals and court clinics to full representation in trials and appeals such as civil appeals, consumer/bankruptcy, employment, family law and guardianship, housing and probate. Volunteer Lawyers Project represents US citizens, green card holders, and certain other immigrants. Along with free or low-cost legal representation, they also provide educational materials and resources. Volunteer Lawyers Project aims to preserve and protect meaningful access to justice for its clients; prioritize programs based on the needs of the populations they serve; promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in the delivery of legal services.
