Volunteers of America – Indiana
Volunteers of America is a nonprofit organization using the power of volunteerism to serve communities throughout Ohio and Indiana. The Indiana chapter of Volunteers of America divides its services geographically, with unique services in the Northern, Central and Southern parts of the state. Northern Indiana programs offer transitional housing services to the elderly and military veterans. Central Indiana offers the most robust services. In addition to veteran services and senior housing, Central Indiana programs include reentry services for individuals entering communities after incarceration. They also facilitate programs to support individuals in need of treatment for chemical dependence or mental health crisis, including treatment programs for single mothers in the Indianapolis area. Programs in Southern Indiana also include treatment services for single mothers and transitional services for formerly incarcerated individuals.
