Volunteers of America Utah
Volunteers of America (VOA) Utah is a human services based organization that provides a path for vulnerable people to improve their lives and increase their self-reliance. VOA offers year-round support for individuals living on the street through basic need items, education assistance, employment services and housing assistance. Acceptance, safety, and care are also provided as a way to support individuals on their road to sobriety. VOA strives to reduce the impact of mental illness and to facilitate lifelong improvements in the well-being of individuals and families. The Amplified Mentoring Program (AMP) provides group and one-to-one mentoring opportunities for youth in Salt Lake County. Mentoring activities include talking, hiking, watching a movie, learning a new skill, working on personal goals, and more. VOA's adult mental health services offers mental health counseling, medication management, and case management for individuals 18 and older struggling with mental health concerns.
