Welcome Back / West Central Texas (WBWCT)
Welcome Back / West Central Texas (WBWCT) is a faith-based organization serving the formerly incarcerated people, especially those in Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens, and Wise Counties. After an individual is released from a facility on parole, they must attend an orientation class at the District Parole Office to which they were assigned. WBWCT conducts the orientation at the District Office of the above-mentioned counties located in Mineral Wells. At the orientation, WBWCT hands out and explains their "Resource Booklet" from the applicable county. The first part of this booklet has a list of Churches vetted by the organization that have expressed support for returning citizens who attend their church. The next part of the booklet has "other resources," where returning individuals can find information for health care, transportation, clothing, groceries, job training and much more. After that, the booklet covers things like getting a driver's license, birth certificates, and social security cards, with forms and information they may need.
