West Sound Treatment Center

West Sound Treatment Center is a nonprofit organization on a mission to help participants achieve lifestyles free of substance use. WSTC's New Start and Re-Entry Program offers comprehensive chemical dependency treatment, re-entry coordination, and on-site support services at the Kitsap County Jail. The program serves incarcerated men and women 18 and older who are experiencing substance abuse disorders and in need of a referral to the appropriate level of care for SUD treatment. Priority is given to veterans, pregnant women, IV drug users, people with drug-related criminal histories, and those exiting jail into homelessness. Continuing care treatment, vocational services, and supportive transitional housing are also provided for up to nine months once the participant has exited the jail as a part of their Re-Entry Program. Additionally, New Start and community partner programs work collaboratively to provide a safety net of services that support mental health, medical health, justice and legal aid, housing, transportation, education, and more.
