Westside Health Authority

Westside Health Authority is a community-based nonprofit that serves the Austin and Westside communities of Chicago. Their mission is to channel the power of local community members to improve the overall health and vitality of the community as a whole. This includes more targeted support for mental, physical and spiritual well-being for all individuals regardless of their background. The Westside Health Authority's Community Reentry Center provides essential support for formerly incarcerated individuals who face barriers as they reenter the community after confinement. The center offers transitional job programming, subsidized employment assistance and support obtaining government documents. They also work directly with the Chicago Transit Authority Second Chance Program as a means to help place individuals in temporary jobs. All individuals must present a government identification, including a photo id and a social security card, to register for services. For more information about services, contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
