Section Title

WorkNet, Inc.

WorkNet is a nonprofit organization committed to serving formerly incarcerated individuals reentering the Honolulu community. Their mission is to disrupt the cycle of recidivism through targeted support and comprehensive services that offer individuals the best chance at independent living. This includes residential services, assistance obtaining government documentation, job development and job placement assistance. Volunteers and staff work directly with individuals who face barriers to gainful employment or stable housing due to criminal convictions. This work begins inside the prison prior to release. WorkNet builds relationships with individuals during pre-release and helps to coach them about the expectations and pathways to success upon release. WorkNet also tailors their assistance to each individual, which allows them to best serve all participants regardless of age, ethnicity or gender. Each individual sets a concrete goal with milestones that ensure permanent reentry into the community.
