Illinois Access to Justice

Illinois Access to Justice is legal services program that spans the entire state of Illinois which seeks to intervene in the devastating consequences of all forms of state sponsored detention and incarceration, as well as the long term effects on historically marginalized communities. Through a partnership of community-centered social services organizations, Illinois Access to Justice is broadening the network of holistic, community-based legal services, including direct legal representation and mass legal literacy campaigns led by Community Navigators. The Illinois Access to Justice network also offers high quality legal support in the neighborhoods where people live and work, with the goal of easing the collateral damage of the justice system on individuals, their loved ones and their communities. Legal Services include direct representation in criminal, civil, administrative, and immigration matters. For more information about specific services or to request a legal consult, individuals should contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
