Abode Services is a community based organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. Their mission is to eradicate homelessness through support services for low-income, un-housed people. They assist individuals with special needs and others who face barriers to independent living by locating supportive housing environments and advocating for justice reform around homelessness. Presently, Abode Services serves more than 14,700 people every year throughout the Bay Area. The social services department works with individuals and families to provide wraparound services and connect participants with community partners. Abode Services also operates almost 60 separate programs that work collectively to provide access to affordable housing. Permanent Supportive Housing is available to qualifying individuals who face long term barriers to independent living, while the Rapid Re-Housing program works with individuals facing eviction or escaping dangerous living situations.
