ACLU Indiana

Through advocacy, education, and litigation, ACLU Indiana and its attorneys, advocates and volunteers work to preserve and promote civil liberties including the freedom of speech, the right to privacy, reproductive freedom, and equal treatment under the law. The ACLU of Indiana is dedicated to defending individual rights and enhancing and preserving liberties that are guaranteed in the U.S. and Indiana Constitutions and civil rights laws. Being a nonprofit membership organization, ACLU Indiana does not receive public funds, tax dollars, or government support. Their funding comes from more than 14,000 supporters whose donations fund free legal services and educational outreach, as well as advocacy, organizing, and lobbying activities to promote civil liberties. With this, ACLU Indiana helps defends rights and solve systemic issues such as Criminal Law Reform, Free Speech, LGBTQ Rights, Racial Justice, Policing, and more.
