Description

Aid To Inmate Mothers (AIM) provides services to Alabama’s incarcerated women with an emphasis on enhancing personal growth and strengthening the bonds between incarcerated mothers and their children. AIM not only supports women who are currently incarcerated. They also have a transitional home for women who are leaving prison. Their visitation program brings families together each month for visits within the prison including the Storybook Program and the Girl Scout troop. Their Prison Classes and the Health Education program help these women learn information on parenting, job readiness, and personal health. Their Reconnect is an aftercare program that helps them secure jobs and housing and provides them with essential counseling.
