Aiken Center

Aiken Center is a provider of preventive substance use services in South Carolina. The organization works on treatment, intervention, prevention & education in an effort to reduce the negative effects of substance use, abuse, & addiction. Its mission is to promote hopeful, healthy living and freedom from substance misuse through prevention, treatment, and recovery support. Their Alcohol & Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP)  works with wrongdoers to reduce the number of crashes that result in death, injury, or property damage. Aiken Center also provides outpatient group therapy to male and female adolescents age 13-17 years old. 

Their School Intervention Program (SCIP) is a comprehensive drug intervention program that includes services for children and adolescents 12-19 years of age who are at risk of becoming involved with alcohol, tobacco, or other substances. Aiken Center facilitates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as a treatment option for those with opioid use disorder. MAT is the use of therapeutic prescription medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies. Their LifeSkills Training is an evidence-based program that promotes healthy alternatives to risky behavior. The Palmetto Retailers Education Program (PREP) is a short course that helps reduce underage access to alcohol and tobacco products in our communities, while also lowering the liability risks for businesses and their employees.
