Alaska Correctional Ministries

The goal of Alaska Correctional Ministries homes is to provide a faith-based residential environment that includes peer accountability and stability for up to 14 residents post-release who are re-entering the community. The multi-phased program includes individual case management, prevention classes to support sobriety, counseling services, family reunification, financial planning and referrals related to job placement, transportation, food and clothing. Most participants in Alaska Correctional Ministries Safe Living homes are completing probation and/or parole. Residents are asked to pay approximately $550.00 per month. This fee covers all utilities, internet access, and food and clothing sourced from donations. The New Hope Safe Living Home for women is situated in east Anchorage, while the New Horizons Safe Living Home is in west Anchorage. These homes act as a safe refuge and offer numerous services as our residents adjust to life after incarceration.
