Description

Alaska Native Justice Center (ANJC) provides reentry support to formerly incarcerated people in order to successfully reintegrate. They work in partnership with the Department of Corrections, Community Residential Centers, Substance Use Disorder Centers, local reentry support organizations, and community stakeholders. Participants receive support through individualized case management, peer-driven mentorship, behavioral therapy, and referrals for housing services, employment opportunities, education, recovery from chemical dependence, behavioral health treatment, and medical services. The Adult Reentry Program helps participants in improving self-esteem, personal responsibility and positive habits to promote a successful transition into the community and reduce the rate of recidivism. This program is available to individuals within 180 days pre- and post-release in the Municipality of Anchorage service area.
