Anne Arundel County Rehabilitation Programs

The Anne Arundel County court system operates several rehabilitation programs designed to assist justice involved individuals. One of the most popular programs is the Adult Drug Court, which focuses on alternatives to incarceration for individuals facing non-violent drug charges. Drug Court may assign mandatory time in an approved treatment facility to address chemical dependence as opposed to incarceration in a correctional facility. The hope of Drug Court is that they can help individuals address the underlying factors that perpetuate recidivism. Veterans Court works with all armed forces veterans who are facing non-violent criminal charges to offer alternatives to incarceration that may included court mandated mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment or other interventions. Safe Stations is a program that increases access to treatment services for individuals with chemical dependence. Through this program, individuals can report to any police station or fire station to seek treatment, even if they are facing pending criminal charges.
