Be a Helping Hand

Be a Helping Hand is working to ensure that the housing needs of their community members are met and opportunity is available to all, with a focus on supporting women. Their mission is to help protect and strengthen the culture of North Nashville by ensuring their neighbors are not displaced from their own communities in the name of “progress.” They provide individuals and families in North Nashville and the surrounding metropolitan areas with access to affordable housing. Their Gaining Prosperity Program provides economic empowerment services to low-income women heads-of-household to support them in becoming self-sufficient, maintaining employment, gaining financial stability, and achieving homeownership.
