Berks Connections/Pretrial Services

Berks Connections/Pretrial Services (BCPS) is a community-based organization that provides direct services, through professional staff and trained volunteers, to adult defendants, incarcerated people, returning citizens and their families. Their mission is to improve lives and create safer, more prosperous communities by providing services, support, and community reintegration to individuals involved in the justice system and to their families. They provide case management and reentry services for the Reentry Program at the Berks County Jail, the PA Department of Correction's Community Corrections Center in Wernersville and to returning citizens on state parole. Their other services include workforce Development (i.e., Employment Readiness, Job Placement, Vocational Training), Financial Literacy, Family Reunification, Housing and Assistance securing basic needs. They provide pretrial interviews, assessments and supervision, too. BCPS is also the founding member of the Berks Community Resources Network (CRN), a group of over 40 non-profit social service and government agencies that work in partnership to reduce recidivism in Berks County.
