Better Futures Minnesota’s mission is to guide individuals toward rehabilitation and end the cycle of incarceration through whole person development. They are a nonprofit organization centered on the premise that generational poverty is a driving force for socioeconomic, racial and environmental justice. Better Futures Minnesota offers transitional housing for men while they secure treatment for mental illness and chemical dependence, develop skills and begin sustainable employment. Individuals in residence receive mentorship and counseling to facilitate success. The organization also maintains a workforce program that includes hands-on training and certification programs to give men the best chance at financial stability. Their health and life wellness programs focus on personal development and positive behavioral changes to ensure permanent success for individuals.
