Camillus House Jail Diversion Program

Camillus House began out of the desire to provide individuals experiencing homelessness with nutritious meals at no cost. Today, the organization serves more than 30,000 individuals and families every year. Rooted in the compassionate hospitality of St. John of God, Camillus House increases the quality of life for those who are underserved and living without a home in South Florida by providing a continuum of housing and supportive services. The organization maintains housing programs that meet the needs of those who require emergency shelter, transitional housing and permanent residential assistance. Camillus House assesses need by first determining whether community members require family or single occupancy housing services. Once placed, residents have access to ongoing support services that include: life skills, parenting workshops, cooking classes, vocational services, individual and group counseling, childcare and individualized case management. For more information about specific services, individuals should contact Camillus House directly using the information on this page.
