The Cattaraugus County Public Defender's Office is located in Orlean, NY. This office provides legal representation to those who cannot afford to hire an attorney. The Public Defenders represent individuals charged with all criminal offenses, including felonies, misdemeanors, and violations (excluding vehicle and traffic violations charged independently from other criminal offenses.) They also represent people in family court proceedings, including neglect, abuse, custody, child support violations, and family offense matters.
