Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice

Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice (CJCJ) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce society’s reliance on incarceration as a solution to social problems. CJCJ provides direct services, technical assistance, and policy analysis that work in unison to promote a balanced and humane criminal justice system designed to reduce incarceration and enhance long-term public safety. CJCJ serves Bay Area populations with specialized needs, including formerly incarcerated people with mental illness, homelessness, violent criminal histories and drug addiction, and youth facing or transitioning from the juvenile justice system. They also provide various juvenile, criminal justice services and Services for Children with Court-involved Parents. In 2012, the Northern California Service League (NCSL) merged with the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice (CJCJ).
