Central Iowa Shelter and Services

The Central Iowa Shelter & Services (CISS) provides emergency shelter and supportive services to women and men experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to provide low-barrier shelter, meals and support services at no cost to adults experiencing homelessness and to facilitate their move toward self-sufficiency. In addition, CISS provides much more beyond shelter services, including case management, health and wellness programming, and educational opportunities for clients to utilize daily. With so much to offer, CISS strives to be a one-stop-shop for all needs of someone experiencing homelessness. CISS wants all of its clients to be back on their feet and in permanent housing as soon as they are ready, and they will help them however they can on their journey to self-sufficiency. Some of the services they offer include Clothing Closet and Food Pantry, Job Training Program, The Rolling Hills Coalition, Veterans Per Diem Program, Summer Meal Meet-Ups, and other partner programs (like Legal Aid, health care etc.). Please contact Central Iowa Shelter & Services directly if you need any further information.
