Centre for Justice and Reconciliation

The Centre for Justice and Reconciliation is a program of Prison Fellowship International a nonprofit organization. Its mission is to develop and promote restorative justice in criminal justice systems around the world. Restorative justice repairs the harm caused by crime. When victims, offenders and community members meet to combat crime. It usually includes restitution, community service, and victim-offender reconciliation. Centre for Justice and Reconciliation aim to place restorative justice as the normal response to crime for that they emphasize a change in current perspectives, policies and practices. The Centre's programs provide victims with support in the aftermath of crime, create in-prison communities of restoration for wrongdoers, and bring victims and wrongdoers together in conversation about crime and justice. They also engage in reform projects to incorporate restorative policies in justice systems.
