Centro de la Comunidad, Inc. is a nonprofit agency offering community and support services to the Hispanic and multicultural population of the Southeastern, Connecticut area. This agency was founded in 1969 with a mission of empowerment, culture preservation, improved education and employment opportunities, and community outreach. Centro de la Comunidad, Inc. program services include, but are not limited to, English as a Second Language (ESL), General Education Development (GED), Certified Nurse's Aide Training, Spanish classes, individualized case management, employment readiness workshops, translation services, computer skills, youth and adult enrichment programs, community service, and much more. Social services are also provided to individuals and families in need to ensure appropriate access to health care, housing and food. Open hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9am to 1pm, and by appointment only Friday through Sunday.
