Citizens for Criminal Justice Reform-New Hampshire

Citizens for Criminal Justice Reform - New Hampshire (CCJR-NH) is a nonprofit organization that promotes a more just, humane, and rehabilitative court and correctional system. Research, public education, legislative advocacy, team building, community organizing, and litigation are some methods used. In addition, it supports logical, cost effective initiatives and regulations that reduce crime, minimize recidivism, and improve public safety. The goal of CCJR is to create a justice system that safeguards the community while promoting incarcerated person reintegration and the welfare of justice-impacted individuals' families. The organization's primary responsibility is to promote improvements to New Hampshire law that encourage rehabilitation, restoration, and reintegration. The group also serves as a networking resource for justice-impacted individuals and their families and opposes compulsory minimum sentences and unsafe prison overcrowding. Its purpose is to reform the criminal justice system to make it less combative and more rehabilitative. For more information about specific services, contact the organization directly.
