Connecticut’s Reentry Community

Connecticut's Reentry Community is an expansive network of residential centers that assist formerly incarcerated individuals throughout the state. They have residential services in the following regions: Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, Southeastern Connecticut, Stamford, Torrington, Waterbury and Windham. Individuals returning to these areas may qualify for residential services. Additionally, the organization offers certain services for individuals across the state. Connecticut's Reentry Community provides holistic services that include crisis intervention, education, employment, family reunification, medical and mental healthcare, housing services, government identification assistance, pre-release services, and support tailored specifically to young people and women. This broad and expansive network of support systems is intended to give all formerly incarcerated individuals the best chance at permanent reentry and reduce the risk of recidivism statewide. Individuals can request pre-release services through their correctional facility. After release, individuals should contact the organization directly to discuss available services and eligibility in their region.
