Covenant House DC

Covenant House is a community based nonprofit deeply committed to addressing youth homelessness in the Washington DC area. They are one of the leading organizations working to end youth homelessness in the greater Washington DC metro. Their decision to prioritize young people experiencing homelessness helps to intervene with at risk youth and prevent them from entering the corrections system at an early age. Each night, Covenant House is able to provide shelter to more than 100 teens every night. Covenant House staff do understand that housing insecurity is just one part of the problem. They also offer other services that support sustainable, self-sufficient living: job development and placement, street outreach, a drop-in center available to all those in crisis, and a free clinic that provides vital healthcare services. For more information about specific services or to request assistance, individuals are encouraged to contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
