Covenant House was founded to assist people with few resources meet their basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. They have served the Charleston, West Virginia for forty years with a commitment to increase social justice by addressing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. Covenant House offers a number of supports, including a service center where individuals can use business services, get assistance registering to vote and find employment opportunities, and obtain basic necessities. They also offer emergency financial assistance to help individuals avoid eviction and losing access to utilities. Covenant House provides housing services for unhoused people, and will soon offer health services as well. Individuals can visit the service center from 8:00am-4:00pm during the week for assistance.
