Covenant Recovery is an Arkansas-based organization that offers reentry services to incarcerated males. Through their partnership with Arkansas Community Correction they are able to provide incarcerated men within 18 months of their release dates with a six-month residency program. This program houses up to 100 clients with a goal of reintroducing them to society by way of life skills, addiction treatment and employment. The first phase at the center is an adjustment period, a time for individuals to prepare for the real world. Next, they are sent out on volunteer projects, like city cleanups and the local Neighborhood Watch programs. Finally, in the last phase of the program, clients are autonomous and acquire their own housing accomodations. This new found independence allows them to make decisions with only a weekly drug test and ankle monitor to hold them accountable. Covenant Recovery also assists these recently released citizens in getting their Social Security cards, driver's licenses and enrolling in the local college.
