DC Doors

DC Doors is a community based nonprofit deeply committed to addressing chronic homelessness in the Washington DC area. The organization originated with the Latino Transitional Housing Program, a program designed to address the transitional and permanent housing needs of the Latino community in Washington, DC. Since 2011, DC Doors became an independent organization in order to better address the needs of the community’s diversified population. Today, DC Doors recognizes that housing insecurity presents significant barriers to permanent employment, proper mental health treatment, access to medical services and reentry. Their decision to broaden the scope of their assistance has led to a significant increase in the number of individuals and families served every year. DC Doors provides permanent housing solutions and social services to adults, as well as numerous services for young adults in the community. For more information about specific services, individuals should contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
