Domus

Domus develops positive relationships with underserved youth and prepares them for productive, self-sufficient lives in adulthood. Their mission is to achieve racial equality through youth development, including trauma-responsive mentorship. Domus' School Engagement program offers face-to-face contact, develops connections between teachers and participants and fosters self-sufficient habits to succeed at the post-secondary level. This program supports Stamford students ages 12-18 who struggle to engage with their schoolwork. Their Workforce Development program centers job training and skills development necessary to obtain employment and promote self-sufficient financial stability. This program is available to Stamford young people ages 16 to 25, and includes participants who did not complete high school as well as those returning from incarceration.
