Emerge Connecticut’s mission is to disrupt the cycle of recidivism, develop community and inspire hope through transitional job support and wrap-around services. Their approach prioritizes individualized mentorship to facilitate personal development, success on the job and a positive family life. Emerge Connecticut aims to address policies and prejudices that negatively impact people reentering the community after incarceration. They offer sustained services for adults returning home to help individuals attain the necessary job skills and training to procure permanent employment. Transitional employment is available for six to nine months after release. during this time, participants also receive screening for public benefits, educational support and job readiness preparation.
