Failsafe-ERA

Failsafe-ERA's core purpose is to foster positive change in the lives of those affected by incarceration by changing lives, rebuilding communities, and helping families affected by incarceration. They serve individuals in Virginia. Their programs provide evidence-based training using the cognitive-behavioral model to address attitudes, behaviors, and mindsets to overcome life-altering challenges and decisions; and continuous quality improvement strategies and social skills to improve communications and connectedness to build healthy relationships, and promote public safety. They offer a reentry program, called the Right Road Reentry Program, which encompasses both one-on-one case management as well as group training activities, creating a whole community of support. They also have a Failsafe-ERA support group, for individuals and families affected by incarceration, to share concerns, develop and/or improve coping skills, and to manage stressors created by incarceration. Their PGI (Preventing Generational Incarceration) Program focuses on the social and emotional well-being of children and youth; particularly those who are involved in the criminal justice system themselves or is a child whose parent is currently or formerly incarcerated, through ECHIPS (Equipping Children with Incarcerated Parents)
