Father Matters Reentry Mentoring Project assists men, women and their communities in developing relationships and life skills as they reintegrate into the community after incarceration. They serve men and women over the age of 18 during both pre-release and post-release. Only those who have been convicted of a crime as an adult are eligible. The program offers support for pregnant mothers or those with a pregnant partner, or parents with children under 6 years old. Father Matters Reentry Mentoring Project assists those reentering South Central Phoenix, Maryvale or Laveen neighborhoods, or the Gila River Reservation community. The program offers transition planning before release, individualized educational training, counseling and behavior management services, mentorship, job training and placement, and referrals for employment and stable housing.
