Georgetown Law Juvenile Justice Clinic

The Juvenile Justice Clinic and Initiative housed at Georgetown Law School offers concrete opportunities for law students to work with youth clients. The program is predicated on the idea that students learn best through praxis, so all students have the opportunity to earn intensive experience with indigent criminal defense and prisoner advocacy. Students represent clients directly, participate in lectures and legal workshops, complete simulation exercises and undergo individual meetings with a professor who supervises legal work. The Juvenile Justice Clinic is committed to enacting permanent change that protects the rights of children and young adults. They advocate for policy initiatives while working directly with young people who are facing delinquency cases and education cases with a goal of intervening before young people enter the juvenile justice system. For more information about advocacy efforts or to request representation, individuals should contact the organization directly using the information provided on this page.
