George Center for Opportunity removes barriers to ensure that all individuals have equal access to education, employment and positive relationships. They develop policies that support, not hinder, individuals on the path toward recovery and personal development. The George Center for Opportunity also fosters strategic partnerships to help combat poverty in the region and cultivate systemic changes that promote self-sufficient living. They offer programs focused on family crisis and support for those with chemical dependence who seek to reunify with family. Two educational programs help prepare individuals to enter the workforce and/or higher education. Justice-impacted individuals also have access to an employment program specifically tailored for individuals exiting incarceration.
