Guilford County Reentry Council

The Guilford County Reentry Council is a community based organization that assists formerly or currently incarcerated individuals with transitional planning. They also act as a bridge between the client and resources. The Guilford County Reentry Council can help people obtain housing, mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment, job training, employment, child care, and education possibilities, including getting a GED or certificates and other resources. The organization's program is open to anyone returning to the county from a local jail, state or federal prison, or community corrections (probation/parole). The Guilford County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Registration Section registers all people charged with sex-related offenses who live in Guilford County and must register by North Carolina law. In addition, the division tracks those accused of committing sex-related crimes and arrests and prosecutes those who violate North Carolina General Statutes.
