Head to the Sky offers pre-release programs to individuals in prison to assist them with their transition to society and to prepare individuals to rejoin society, including job preparedness workshops that focus on resume writing, job search and interviewing techniques. They also emphasize goal setting and achievement, building self-esteem, and emotional intelligence. Some of their basic life skills classes include anger management, integrity, money management and decision making. They help with job search information and pre-employment advice, too.
The Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility (ATEF) helps prepare participants to transition from incarceration to re-entry. It is a residential facility that provides comprehensive behavioral, vocational and educational services to prepare incarcerated people to enter the Work Release Program.
