Heart 4 Hearts is a community based organization committed to serving justice involved individuals returning to the community. Their Reentry Initiative program is in partnership with Mayor Ganim’s Mayor Initiative on Reentry Affairs and offers comprehensive services that include mentoring, job training, education and case management services for qualifying individuals. They also collaborate with other local organizations that provide job development services, career training, and treatment for chemical dependence. Heart 4 Hearts works with formerly incarcerated individuals within 3-6 months of release. Their goal is to intervene early in the reentry process so that justice involved individuals have the best opportunity for permanent reintegration. Heart 4 Hearts, unlike many reentry programs, also assists with childcare so that formerly incarcerated parents have the opportunity to complete programming, educational coursework and attend job trainings.
