The Isabella County Public Defender's Office has a local regional office located in Mount Pleasant, MI. The office defends the liberty, honor, and constitutional rights of individuals of all ages whose cases have been entrusted to them. With one Public Defender, one Chief Assistant Public Defender, two Senior Assistant Public Defenders, two Assistant Public Defenders and two Legal Secretaries, their mission is not only to deliver excellence in its representation of every client but also to stand with its clients and the community in working to create a more just, fair, and compassionate legal system. The office's vision is to provide a holistic approach to representing its clients and leaving them better off than they were found. Thus, they view clients in the context of their charges and life as a whole – including their mind, body, and social factors. A holistic representation of their clients means leveraging community services to address the whole client, who is entitled to respect and support as a member of our community. The privilege of offering representation to those in need is why the law has offered public defense services.
