Magdalene Serenity House

Magdalene Serenity House is a non-profit organization working to rebuild women who have experienced trauma, sexual exploitation, addiction, and incarceration through safe housing, long-term support, and community partnerships. They provide a comprehensive, collaborative, structured residential program that can comfortably house up to 8 women for two years at no cost to them. During their stay, residents receive comprehensive, holistic services and care. This helps them meet mental and physical health needs, including counseling, medical and dental care, assistance applying for benefits, job and education readiness, legal advocacy, and life skills training. In addition, their three-phase program works in partnership with community resources to deliver evidence-based interventions for healing and empowerment. Phase one focuses on residents following a structured schedule based on recovery and healing from trauma. In phase two, residents are required to obtain employment and are encouraged to further their education. In phase three, residents work closely with the program staff to transition into independent living. After completing the program, residents graduate and become Sisters for Life.
