The Massachusetts Committee For Public Counsel Services in Middlesex County has two divisional offices—a Trial Court Office and a Youth Advocacy Division (YAD) Trial Office, located in Malden, Massachusetts. With one Attorney-in-Charge, one Supervising Senior Trial Counsel and 11 Staff Attorneys, the Malden Trial Court Office provides high-quality, client-centered legal representation to indigent persons of all ages accused of crimes, misdemeanor and felony cases. Furthermore, Malden YAD Office, with one Attorney-in-Charge and three Staff Counsel, serve youth in the Middlesex & Suffolk County area, including the Cambridge, Framingham, Waltham, and Chelsea Juvenile Courts. The YAD office represents children in negligence and youthful offender proceedings. In addition, YAD provides effective representation in court and educational advocacy and individualized referrals to community-based resources. Finally, YAD attorneys are available for a confidential consultation and court-appointed legal representation.
