Mentoring Men’s Movement

Mentoring Men's Movement is a community based organization that dedicates itself to improving the community through support for justice involved individuals. Staff and volunteers with the organization provided regular mentorship and support to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. Their Breakfast Meeting, hosted through El Bethel Baptist Church, occurs on the fourth Saturday of every month. Support groups for currently incarcerated individuals include a meeting every first Monday of the month at County Jail #5, as well as every third Monday at County Jail #2. Additionally, Mentoring Men's Movement provides Transformative Life Coaching for incarcerated and recently released individuals. This program centers healing, spirituality and personal transformation. While the focus of the program is to support people of color, it is open to all individuals in need of support. Youth are eligible for support through the Youth Mentoring: Simba/Lion Kings program, which intervenes with at risk youth and enriches participants.
