Mississippi Union County Mission

Mississippi Union County Mission is a faith-based organization using a christ centered approach to helping the homeless. Since their formal establishment in 1956, their mission has been to extend the Arm of Christ by offering resources and opportunities for aid to anyone in need regardless of race, color, creed, religion, handicap, or addiction. In addition to a 24 hour emergency shelter, Mississippi Union County Mission also provides transportation help, prescription financial assistance, food, clothing, furniture and appliances, bedding, and other houseware needs. Anyone staying at the Mission is required to work and be productive, whether it be through community employment, chores, kitchen help, or the employment day labor program. Work programs are also offered to allow residents the opportunity to acquire and hone essential job skills that will assist them in gaining independence and reentering the community. Individuals and families in need of assistance can contact Mississippi Union County Mission directly for more information on their services.
