Missouri CURE

Citizens United for Rehabilitation of Errants (CURE) works to reduce incarceration rates through targeted reform in the corrections system. The organization, founded and established in San Antonio, Texas, now involves ongoing efforts throughout the United States and in several international communities. Missouri CURE has distinct goals to improve access to equitable justice, including: utilize prisons only for those who most require incarceration, incarcerated individuals need access to all resources available to help them rehabilitate, promote the humane treatment of individuals with criminal convictions and their loved ones, raise and distribute correctional funds in the best interest of justice impacted individuals, and continually support the loved ones of incarcerated individuals. The organization is most active with death row individuals, those convicted of sex based crimes or serving life, foreign nationals with criminal convictions, and formerly incarcerated individuals in the community.
