Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Pre-Trial Diversion Program

Montgomery County District Attorney's Office offers a pre-trial diversion program for justice impacted individuals facing their first offense. This program diverts qualifying applicants from the tradition court system into a highly individualized and supervised restorative program. Applicants must be fully committed to successfully completing the pre-trial diversion program to be considered for the program. Selected participants will be required to work, attend educational training, perform weekly volunteer work, participate in counseling, report to the PTD Office, and pay restitution if applicable. Individuals that successfully complete the pre-trial diversion program will not be brought to trial. Instead, The District Attorney will file a Motion to Nolle Pros the case, and there will not be a conviction. If participants are unable to complete the pre-trial diversion program, they will be sentenced as they would for any other conviction.
