Northern District of Indiana Federal Community Defenders, Inc.’s South Bend Office

The Northern District of Indiana Federal Community Defenders, Inc.'s South Bend Office is a non-profit community defender orgnization. With around two attorneys, the office serves people with limited financial means charged with federal crimes in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. They represent criminal defendants only if the court appoints them based on their financial situation. Qualifying defendants must demonstrate financial need to the presiding court and be assigned an attorney. They may not pursue public defenders for representation on their own.
