Peaceprints of WNY works to end the cycle of incarceration. They offer a range of personalized services, programs, and resources designed to meet each individual where they are on their transformation. Their project blue helps individuals being released from the county jail by providing pre and post-release services such as serving individuals 18 and over, identified at medium to high-risk of re-incarceration, provide 12 months of following along support post-release, employ an innovative peer mentoring program, Utilize Ready, Set, Work! cognitive behavioral therapy, Partner with off-site organizations to provide substance abuse and mental health treatment, transitional job training, and education. Bissonette House is a 120-day transitional residence program that provides its residents with the support and guidance needed to make a positive transformation and a successful reentry. But entry is contingent upon the New York State Department of Community Corrections & Supervision, Erie County Parole Division Officer's recommendation and referral. Hope Housing is another low-income housing they provide to individuals with an annual income of less than $22,000 or who have current, active and approved Social Security or DSS Entitlement benefits. Their Empower Youth Program prepares “at risk” young people with the tools necessary to regain control of their lives, graduate high school and move onward into vocational or post-secondary educational careers. Their Cephas Community Support Groups provide individuals released under supervision an opportunity to engage in the process of transition.
