Platform to Employment is a nonprofit organization that offers employment support services to individuals that have been out of the workforce for an extended amount of time. This Bridgeport, Connecticut based program is overseen by The WorkPlace, an employment support organization that prepares jobseekers for their careers on a broader scale. The mission of Platform to Employment is to create pathways to employment opportunities to individuals in need, including individuals exiting a corrections facility. These professional development services include, but are not limited to, skills assessment, career coaching, job readiness workshops, financial counseling, behavioral health services, life skills development, job training, work trial experience, assistance with childcare and transportation, and other support services that address barriers to employment. Although the reentry services are offered statewide, programs are only in Hartford, New Haven, Norwich, Waterbury and Bridgeport.
